We assess and remove asbestos-containing vinyl floor tiles and adhesive backing in Townsville homes. These materials are often overlooked during kitchen or bathroom renovations, so the floor should be identified before tiles are lifted or the adhesive is disturbed.
An overlooked material in older wet areas
Vinyl tiles and their backing are one of several asbestos locations in older homes. Internal wet-area linings in bathrooms, laundries and kitchens may also need consideration. Our asbestos testing and inspection service can establish what is present before a renovation scope is set.
Testing first gives the removal work a defined starting point. It avoids assuming that a floor covering is ordinary renovation waste and lets us plan the controls around the area, the adhesive and the site access.
Quotes reflect the floor and adhesive
Vinyl floor tile removal is quoted on site based on the area, adhesive type, access and condition. Roof-only rates do not apply to floor tiles. See our asbestos removal cost guide for other service prices.
Prices are a guide only and depend on size, access and condition. Your free on-site quote gives you a fixed price before any work starts. Where a renovation involves other older materials, we can also assess connected areas, including under-house fibro enclosures and internal wet-area linings.
A Class B licence permits removal of more than 10 square metres of non-friable bonded asbestos. If material is friable, a Class A licence is required regardless of quantity; the appropriate process follows the assessment.
